Vitamin C – our all-round talent
Among vitamins, vitamin C is probably the best known all-round talent. Many metabolic processes in the human body require vitamin C. It ensures optimal function of the immune system and protects human cells from aggressive oxygen compounds – free radicals. It pays an essential role in effectively interacting with important hormones such as stress hormones and thyroid hormones. It also strengthens connective tissue, bones and teeth, and it supports good wound healing. Vitamin C improves calcium and iron absorption in the organism and stimulates the detoxification function of the liver by activating specific liver enzymes.
Humans are not able to produce vitamin C themselves. In times of increased need, an external source of vitamin C is needed to supplement our regular diet. The body’s own reserves of vitamin C last for two to six weeks.
Dr. Krause Supplements buffered Vitamin C is particularly gentle on the stomach, acid-free and pH-neutral, making it particularly suitable for people with sensitive stomachs.
Dr. Krause Supplements buffered vitamin C as calcium ascorbate:
Highly dosed: Each capsule contains 500 mg calcium ascorbate, which corresponds to 410 mg of pure bioactive vitamin C in its stomach-friendly form. The recommended daily dose is 1 capsule taken during the day. Vitamin C is an excellent antioxidant; among other things, it contributes to optimal functioning of the immune system and to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It also increases iron absorption through the intestines, supports the body as a cofactor in its detoxification functions and is an important cofactor in collagen synthesis.
Bioavailable: Vitamin C as calcium ascorbate is particularly well absorbed by the body. Because of that, it is made available very quickly to the more than 300 enzyme systems as a cofactor. Calcium ascorbate is the basic form of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and is therefore particularly gentle on the stomach. In contrast to pure ascorbic acid, it has no negative effect on the acid-base balance of humans.
Laboratory-tested: Each batch of our vitamin C capsules is tested and certified for purity by an independent German laboratory. We guarantee that our vitamin C is free of heavy metals, fungicides, pesticides, questionable colours and preservatives. It is vegan and produced without genetic engineering. It’s naturally lactose-free and contains no magnesium stearate, yeast or starch.
Environmentally friendly: For our supplements, we use 100% recyclable amber glass bottles in pharmacist quality.
Customer satisfaction: Our customers’ satisfaction is our top priority. The medical staff at Dr. Krause Supplements will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the products

Vitamin C in food:
Vitamin C is found in many types of fruit and vegetables. It should be noted, however, that our fruits and vegetables often only have a greatly reduced vitamin C content due to pre-treatment with chemicals or exposure to sunlight. But cooking, incorrect preparation and incorrect storage also destroy vitamin C. Top runners in terms of vitamin C content are rose hips, broccoli, peppers and various types of cabbage.

Other supplements as a useful combination with your Dr.Krause Supplements buffered Vitamin C:
